20th of November 2020

A beautiful couple that where giddy with excitement at calling each other Husband and Wife.

Where shall I start with Felicity and Matt’s wedding day?
Shall I begin with Felicity’s drop-dead gorgeous black dress? Or her bouquet that is just amazing or the fact that after nearly two years of planning, their original plans all but squashed due to covid and re-planning it all, to get hitched anyway?

Felicity and Matt booked me two years prior to their wedding, Felicity was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed and she knew what to expect from me on the day and loved my work. The original wedding plan was for 120 guests, but with covid restrictions on venues and travel it wasn’t looking possible unless they postponed, so a elopement it was!

With a 5km travel restriction in place for so long Felicity & Matt decided on a beautiful bushy park just a short walk from their house, with just their parents as witnesses and long time family friend Trish as the celebrant. Felicity & Matt where so grateful to have their parents there to witness, along with surprise telegrams read out during the ceremony from family interstate. Being so close to home also meant that their beloved fur baby Luna could also be involved in photos.

Oh yeah, the bride wore black, and totally rock it!
Felicity is such a bright and bubbly girl that I would never have guessed it, everyone would have expected her in a traditional white dress or even pink, but she wanted something non traditional and Leah S Design was all to accommodating bringing Felicity’s vision to reality. Now lets talk about that bouquet… Its stunning isn’t it? Felicity and her boss at DesFlora had a vision and after months of collecting key pieces the stunning colourful, huge, waterfall bouquet was created, and it pops against that black gown perfectly.

Matt chose a textured pieces from Joe Black for the day. Online shopping wasn’t easy, but they came through with the goods, a friend made the grooms tie, and his talented Felicity made the button hole.

Felicity and Matt wanted something fun, unique and personal, everything about their day was authentic to them and they wouldn’t have changed a thing!
